Important tips for ticket booking in IRCTC website

Guys this is for the people who don’t know about tatkal ticket and using for first time (I know a lot of people know about this stuuf already but i am updating for the people who don’t know about tatkal)

1) Login time

First you have to login between 10-56 Am to 10:59 AM(for Sleeper coach)

if you want to book AC coach you have to login in between 9:56 AM to 9:59 AM

2) Master List & Favourite Journey List

Save your journey details and Passenger details before you book the ticket

you can follow the below steps as mentioned in images.

i) Login page

ii) Save your journey details and passenger details

after login go to My Profile and click on Favourite Journey List

iii) Fill your journey details like below:

after filling the details it will save your journey details like above. For example I saved four favourite journey lists as you can seen in the image .Then click on save journey list.

iv) Now again go to My profile and select Master List like below

Fill the details like name, DOB,Gender,Berth preference(Upper,Lower,,,),(No need to touch Food preference and senior ),Id card type like voter id,aadhar,,, and enter the Id card number and click on add passenger.
It will save all the details.

v) Save your Preffered bank list that you find in My Profile

Guys save all the details so that these details list will be availabe when you want to book tatkal tickets.
It will save you 30 – 40 seconds time for you

3) Now login according to your preferred bookings
If sleeper-10:56 – 10:59
If AC coach-9:56 – 9:59

4) after logging in click on select favourite journey list

you will get the list as shown in the above image
Click on select.
click on date and hit submit.

5)now select the radio button tatkal.
select your preffered train and click on SL(or preferred type like 2A,3A…) available in the blue color

6) next you will get this page

if you observe in the above image you find refresh button which can be used to stick to this page (do not hit this refresh button multiple times,if so things will go wrong)
when the right time comes ( 11:00 am) book now icon will be available for you to book the tickets

7) you can save nearly 20 seconds time here

click on select passengers from your master list

you will get your list of already saved passenger details.
Select the people
